How to Sell PLR Article Packs

Private label rights, or PLR, article packs are a hot commodity for website owners, bloggers and internet marketers. Many buy these PLR packs to tweak for various purposes. Not only does it save a lot of time and stress, but it provides content that you might not have been able to think about on your own.

I’ve never purchased a PLR pack of articles for my own use, but I have written several. Knowing how to sell them is vital if you want to make repeat, residual profit from your writing.

Pick hot topics. A PLR pack about the mating rituals of wombats will not interest many – if any! – people. There just isn’t a large call for wombat mating content. Low google searches, no affiliate programs to speak.  The biggies of PLR stay steady for the most part: weight loss, internet marketing, home business, personal finance in all its guises, parenting… The big topics that most people are interested in make good private label rights article packs.

Go where the buyers are. Internet marketing and webmaster forums usually have sections where you can offer PLR packs and similar things for sale. Getting into discussions about them and displaying a link to your ecommerce page is a great idea for marketing.

Know the mechanics of selling PLR packs. Most packs consist of at least five, and more often ten or more, articles about a particular subject. Keywords must be used and should be given along with the packs. Do not price PLR packs like you would price individual articles of blog posts. The pack must be CHEAP! The idea is to sell it multiple times to get your money’s worth. As a general rule, the more copies of a PLR article pack you intend to sell, the lower the price should be.  Offering exclusivity will get you more money.
